One-piece winter suits or kids’ snow jacket and pants sets: what’s best for your child?
Every age and stage comes with different winter needs, which is why our collection offers both options.
One-piece designs offer full coverage, reduce heat loss, and help keep snow from getting inside. They’re ideal for younger children, daycare, sledding, and your little one’s first winter adventures.
For older kids, a two-piece kids’ snow jacket and pants set is often the go-to choice. It offers more flexibility for layering and includes smart details like backpack-style suspenders, adjustable pant lengths, and leg openings designed to fit over ski boots.
To equip children from head to toe and simplify winter preparations, the Snow Shop selection brings together all the essentials for tackling the cold season, regardless of age or activity level.
Kids’ snow jackets and winter gear made to last and grow
Durability is a key part of the Deux par Deux philosophy. Our kids’ snow jackets, snow pants, and one-piece winter suits are designed to handle active lifestyles and growing kids:
- Adjustable sleeves and pant legs that “grow” with your child
- Ergonomic fits that support natural movement
- Tough, abrasion-resistant fabrics made for everyday winter wear
High quality means fewer replacements and more than one season of wear.
A responsible approach to kids’ winter outerwear
Deux par Deux is committed to creating winter gear that lasts, both in terms of quality and values. We prioritize durable, responsibly sourced materials like recycled polyester and repurposed nylon, without sacrificing warmth or performance.
By focusing on long-lasting designs and responsible materials, we help families make smarter choices for their children and the planet.

Kids' snowsuits FAQ
What is the difference between DISCOVER, PLAY, TEKNIK and CHILL snowsuits?
Our kids' snowsuit lines differ in size range, warmth and waterproofing. DISCOVER (sizes 2 to 8), PLAY (sizes 2 to 14) and TEKNIK (sizes 4 to 16) are all insulated to -30°C (-22°F), DISCOVER and PLAY with polyester fill and a 10,000 mm coating, TEKNIK with recycled PrimaLoft® and a 15,000 mm coating. CHILL (sizes 2 to 14) is a lighter two-piece rated to -5°C (23°F). To see them side by side, compare our snowsuit lines.
Should I choose a one-piece or a two-piece snowsuit?
Both keep kids warm, so the choice comes down to age and how your child plays. A one-piece suit is quick to put on and leaves no gap at the waist for snow to get in, which is why it is often chosen for younger children. A two-piece set gives older kids more freedom, with a jacket that can be worn on its own and snow pants that move with them. Most of our two-piece sets add a snow skirt at the waist to keep snow out. This collection carries both, along with snow pants and bibs.
Are your kids' snowsuits waterproof?
Yes. Our DISCOVER, PLAY, TEKNIK and CHILL suits use a polyurethane-coated fabric rated to 10,000 mm, or 15,000 mm on TEKNIK, that keeps kids dry in heavy snow or rain while letting sweat escape. The outer fabric also gets a fluorocarbon-free BIONIC-FINISH® ECO water-repellent treatment. TEKNIK suits are seam-sealed at the armholes, shoulders, hood and crotch, and CHILL suits are fully seam-sealed.
Are these snowsuits good for skiing and snowboarding?
For the slopes, TEKNIK suits (sizes 4 to 16) have a helmet-friendly hood, pant hems that adjust over ski boots, waterproof zippered pockets including a sleeve pocket for a ski pass, and sealed seams at the key areas. Recycled PrimaLoft® insulation keeps kids warm down to -30°C (-22°F), and Cordura® reinforces the knees, seat and hems. PLAY suits also have a zippered sleeve pocket for a ski pass. Browse our kids' ski and snowboard suits to see the full line.
What size snowsuit should I buy?
Choose your child's true size rather than a size up. Our snowsuits fit generously, and a suit that is too big lets the cold in, because warmth needs a snug fit. If your child is between sizes, go with the smaller size on suits with grow-with-me features. Most DISCOVER, PLAY and TEKNIK suits have sleeves that extend by 4 cm (1.5 in) and adjustable pant hems, which add room as your child grows. Check the size chart on each product page to match your child's measurements.
What should my child wear under a snowsuit?
A simple three-layer approach keeps kids comfortable. Start with thermal underwear close to the skin, in a breathable fabric that doesn't hold moisture, then add a fleece or knit sweater to hold in heat, and finish with the snowsuit to block wind, snow and wet weather. A warm hat, mittens and wool or wool-blend socks complete the outfit. Shop our thermal underwear for kids, or read our guide to choosing a kids' snowsuit.
